The days are slowly starting to draw in, slowly moving toward
autumn. With our above normal rainfall the veld is lush green and thick, making game viewing difficult. Lion sightings have been few and far between, few leopards, and no cheetah. Although excellent sightings of Wild dog, Elephants and normal plains game have been experienced. The main tar road between Orpen Camp and Satara camp is still closed, but the Rabelais road (S106) being used as an alternative route. Which in itself is good for sightings. Unfortunately not good for bus travel.
