Slowly summer.....

Summer has been slow in arriving this year, but early soaking rain has turned the
veld from winter brown to summer green.
The lodge grounds are now a welcome green carpet. Most of our resident summer
birds have returned, and are starting to nest. With the exception of the
Woodland Kingfisher (Halcyon senegalensis) who is due this month.
Game viewing has continued to be exceptional.
