Birding Interest.....

Violet-Backed Starling  - male                 (Cinnyricinclus leucogaster)

A summer visitor to the lodge, is nesting in a natural hole in one of the Kiaat (Pterocarpus angolensis).
The female emerged from the nesting hollow, and was promptly chased  back into the nest by the male who remains on guard in the vacinity of the nest.
